Are your Zipzicle bags BPA-free? Are they recyclable?
A:
Yes, Zipzicle™ ice-pop bags are 100% virgin plastic and contain no plastizers. Specifically, they are made of FDA approved Food Grade LDPE (low density polyethylene) and LLDPE (linear low density polyethylene), that is 3 Mil Thick. This type of plastic is BPA-free. Zipzicle™ bags are also recyclable. They fall under the #4 recyclable category.

We do not recommend using Zipzicle™ ice-pop bags to freeze soda. Heavily carbonated drinks expand as they freeze and can make quite the mess, regardless of the type of container used. Blending your favorite soda with ice cream or yogurt however, is a great way to make Zipzicle™ floats, as long as the carbonation is significantly reduced before freezing.

Can I microwave a Zipzicle to soften it up?
A:
No. Putting the Zipzicle™ bag in the microwave is not recommended. It can create hot spots within the filling that can cause burns while eating the Zipzicle™ ice-pop.
It is better to hold the Zipzicle™ ice-pop under warm water for a few seconds.

What is the best way to freeze Zipzicles?
A:
Once sealed we recommend placing Zipzicle™ ice-pop bags in the freezer standing up in a mug or cup.
Q:
Can Zipzicle bags be reused?
A:
Some customers choose to re-use their Zipzicle™ ice-pop bags while others simply use and recycle them. The choice is yours. However, if you choose to re-use Zipzicle™ ice-pop bags we strongly recommend washing the bags with warm soapy water, rinsing well, and checking each over thoroughly to ensure it is intact. This is especially important when children are involved.
